Planning Your Relocation to Portland: Readiness Guide
Relocating to a new city can be exciting, but for many trans individuals, the process also comes with unique challenges. At the Trans Relocation Fund & Aid Network, our goal is to support trans folks in moving to Portland with stability and security. However, we want to be clear about our scope of assistance and ensure that every move is realistic and sustainable.
Who We Help
✅ We facilitate the relocation of trans individuals to Portland who have a clear plan for housing, employment, and community support. ⛔ We do not provide emergency financial aid for trans people who are not moving to Portland. If you need immediate support in your current location, we encourage you to seek local resources first.
To help you determine if you’re ready to move, we’ve created a Relocation Readiness Commitment Plan. This guide outlines essential commitments to make before relocating to ensure a smooth and stable transition.
